b) DJs/Presenters

Ben Stevenson

- Ben Stevenson is described as a presenter that gives a "refreshing and warm wake up" to his audio listeners on the breakfast show. The description is very accurate for Stevenson as his show is targeted towards people that will be listening in the morning whilst having breakfast. Ben Stevenson's presenting style is very relaxed and informal, easing in to the topics and making the listener feel as though they are having a casual conversation. I think that Ben has been chosen for being a good conversationalist and someone who can easily carry the show for an hour and a half. Ben Stevenson meets the needs of the station's target audience by being easy to relate to and someone who can emphasize with the target audience by being someone who comes from that background.

Chris Mann

- Chris Mann is described as a presenter who gives an interactive look at the local life of Cambridge and its people. Based on Mann's show, the description of him is very accurate as he successfully provides an insightful look at the lives of the people of Cambridgeshire. Chris Mann's show is very formal and controlled, having a simple structure that keeps the show going at a good pace from topic to topic. I think that Chris Mann was chosen to be the host for this show due to his ability to balance the opinions of the guests on his show and still remain neutral, not letting his ego take over the content. Chris Mann meets the needs of the station's target audience by giving them exactly what is promised in the description. He puts the spotlight on his audience and their home and makes them feel validated by the show.

Dotty McLeod

- Dotty McLeod is described as a presenter that brings her audience the news, entertainment and fun. From listening to McLeod's show I think that the description of her is very accurate and will satisfy her target audience. Dotty McLeod's show is very light-hearted in it's tone but also very formal and professional in the way that it is structured and presented. Dotty is a very relaxed host who never distract from the topic at hand and always lets people have their say on the matter. I think that Dotty McLeod fully meets the criteria needed to host the breakfast show. She is a good host that keeps the show going at a good pace and is able to emphasize with the audience and make them feel involved with the content.

Thordis Fridriksson

- Thordis Fridriksson is known to be a presenter that discusses regular travel updates and new county features in Cambridge with special guests. Thordis Fridriksson does live up to her description on the BBC radio home page. She mostly talks about local news updates in Cambridgeshire and always has a special guest on the show to discuss it with and provide insight for the audio listeners. The show is very simple in its structure with a light tone and very little bias when discussing topics. Thordis is a very conversational host and seems like someone that is easy to talk to, which is what makes her be a good host for the show. By having good conversational skills, Thordis is able to keep the show going without any issues of timing in the show's segments. Thordis is a perfect fit as a host for the show and fully meets the criteria given to her by making the show what it is today.

d) Target Audience

The Dotty McLeod Breakfast Show successfully provides unique and engaging content for its target audience. The content from the Dotty McLeod Breakfast Show is very suitable for its target audience which is completely made up of people from the age of 45 to 65 that live in Cambridge. The show and it's host Dotty McLeod, listen to what it's audience thinks about Cambridge and understand their views and priorities concerning the local area. The breakfast show offers in-depth news on Cambridgeshire and the country's current affairs and a wide range of input from special guests on the show  that want to give their opinion. The service is appealing to audio listeners who are seeking intelligent programs which inform, educate and entertain people of an older age and are interested in the local news of cambridge.
